Sophie Gahan

Counselling and Psychotherapy

I am a pre-accredited counsellor working in Grand Parade, Cork City Centre. I hold a BSc in Counselling and Psychotherapy and a Diploma in Counselling. I have been working with clients for several years now and I find this work deeply enriching.

I work from a Humanistic Integrative approach. This means that a variety of techniques and experiences are integrated to best suit the needs of the client. It is a person-centred, existential, approach that believes that personal difficulties are best resolved in the here-and-now and in relation to another person. I offer a confidential, non-judgemental space, where thoughts and feelings can be explored safely.

I am also currently studying for an Msc in Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy.
